Here we have a felted skull scarf, a small project bag, some hand dyed yarn to lift the spirits here in the dreary Portland, Oregon area (we are about to enter rainy season) and 4 fat quarts in DDLM theme.

Here we have 2 candied apples which I haven’t shown to the boys yet. I love the cute little skull purse. That little round item is tea. I’ll have to find something cool to attach the skull patches to. And lastly, there is the Mexican bingo and the hand made soap. I love hand made soap.

Love Bites IV: Halloween Vamp Swap

I love Halloween. Everything about it from the goodies to the scary movies. And this is my second Halloween Vampire Swap through Ravelry. I received these goodies from Valerie of Maine. It was a total squee moment when I opened the package. She even put my favorite perfume (Soft Musk from Avon) in the package.

Firefly Swap

Today I received a shiny Firefly package from Maratree. I totally let out a loud squee when I saw the large item that she made for me.

I have always wanted to make the stuffed Serenity. And now I finally can. The boys say thank you for the little cars. That little charm like item on the Serenity pattern is a Good Luck Turtle. I totally love strawberries and macadamia nuts. Love the soap.

This is the coolest thing anyone has ever made for me. For anyone who doesn’t know who Jeff Burton is. He is the most amazing race car driver in the Nascar series and he makes me squee like a school girl.

Thank you!!!! You have just made my month. :)

Here is what arrived today by owl post. And it is the greatest package ever and was well worth the wait.

She sent cool Nascar stuff and two little stuffed rats for the little wizards. Apparently her printer is now having a fit. My guess is that it doesn't see any need to print anything once it printed a picture of a great racer like Jeff Burton. :) Well, that is my story and I am sticking to it.

Here is a closeup shot of the socks that went to the husband. He loves them and was totally surprised by them. And they fit great. :)

Lovely goodies from the second installment of the Big Bag KAL/Swap. These goodies came from the hostess Dee. I really like the size of the bag. I might have to make one that size. Just have to use a smaller needle than the one I used to make my pal's bag. And I have Noro Silk Garden!!! Will there be a stripped Noro scarf in the future? I just need 3 more skeins and that can happen.

Twilight Knitting Swap

I am thrilled to show off my latest swap package. This one is from the Twilight Knitting Swap. These goodies came all the way from Massachusetts. All I can say is yummy!!! The yarn is Malabrigo. The knitting magazine is the premiere issue of the Debbie Bliss Knitting Magazine. I had almost picked it up at Joann's one day but passed. Now I am really glad that I did. Of course there are the yummy edibles and other small goodies. And last but not least there is a very cute handbag.

Sock-it-to-me Sunday

I can't believe that it I haven't done one of these types of posts since August. It doesn't feel like it has been that long. But the post dates say otherwise. These socks are for my HSS4 (Hogwarts Sock Swap 4) pal who is in Gryffindor. I only have the foot and the toe of the second sock to go. But it has been a slow knit and I am easily distracted by other projects. I can't delay too much longer as the package is due this month.

PRGE Package

My first package has arrived here and it was great!!! Actually it got here yesterday but it was a busy day. Thank you Rhoda!!! Look at all the great goodies. I was actually thinking about buying some of the pumpkin candies at knit night but got some gummy bears instead. We hold knit night at one of the local Haggen's grocery stores. We hadoutgrown the Starbucks that we had been going to. And they kept turning up the music too loud.

Anyway, the yarn is from Ruby Sapphire Yarns and I love the colors. Plus there was some knitting hand balm that is lavender scented from Knit and a yarn guide to help me with knitting with 2 or more colors. And last but certainly not the least, a Knitters Rule Needle Gauge from Karat Stix. It's sooo pretty in person.

The small project bag is reversable. Love the Halloween theme!!! I am gonna take this little beauty to knit night next week to show it off. EDIT: I have been informed by my pal that the bag is from Stuck In Illinois. She has the cutest bags and shipping is free. So go check her out.

And here are the two little ones with their Hot Wheels cars. They were very happy and say thank you as well.

Yes, I have done many swaps. I am in the middle of the Twilight Knitting Swap and the Hogwarts Sock Swap IV. I also will be joining HSKS VI when it starts up next month.

Take care of 2 small boys. Thankfully the 5 yr old will be starting kindergarten on the 4th.

Anything that has to do with Anceint Egypt, sock yarn, and high heel shoes. Also anything with a triquetra on it. Lately my cookbook collection has grown. I am still mising Everday Italian though. One day, I plan on getting it.

I deal with 2 small boys who spend most of the morning running around screaming at each other. The 2 yr old beats up on the 5 yr old. For fun, I do as much knitting as I can or play Tomb Raider on the Playstation II.

I am a beginning spinner who just recently acquired an Ashford Joy. I am also on Ravelry and my ID is AngelaMarie. I spent 9 1/2 years in the US Navy with 5 years on an aircraft carrier. My two small boys are a handful. One is 5 years and the other is 2 years. Bright neon colors make my eyes hurt. My all time favorite scent is lavender. My favorite NFL team is the San Diego Chargers and my favorite NASCAR driver is Jeff Burton. Plus I have all of the Harry Potter and Twilight books.

I try to remember them but sometimes forget.

I am sorry to say that I have been a bad spoilee. This lovely package arrived all the way from China and I had totally forgotten to post about it. I can't even remember when it arrived but it was either last week or the week before. More likely last week. But I do love the entire package. And now I can't even find the paper with the lady's blog address on it. I did find her blog and I remember 2 very cute lil girls.
