Dog Days of Summer

1. Do you knit, or crochet, or do both? How long have you been knitting\crocheting? both - I have been crocheting since the mid 1980s and I have been knitting for only a few years.

2. Have you knit dishcloths or dishtowels before?
yes - And I do use them.

3. What are your favorite cotton yarns? Is there a cotton or linen you’ve been dying to try but have not?
I have only used Sugar & Creme, Cottontots, and Lion Brand Cotton (not Cotton-Ease). I would love to try a cotton/linen blend or some Egyptian cotton. Or any organic cotton.

4. Are there any cotton yarns you don’t enjoy knitting with?
So far I haven't found any that I don't like.

5. What type of needle do you prefer using? (Metal/Wood/Plastic)
Metal and Wood

6. What other projects do you enjoy knitting or crocheting?
I'm in the middle of a sock knitting craze and I crochet alot of doilies and baby items with the crochet thread.

7. Do you have other hobbies or enjoy other kinds of crafting?
Sewing, reading, bead work, and interior decorating. I have my own lil vegetable garden. So far just tomatoes and peppers.

8. What kind of treats do you like? Chocolate? Candies? Nuts?
If it has chocolate in it then I will be happy.

9. What colors are your kitchen and bath decorated in, if any?
The kitchen is some sort of plum color. It was that way when we bought the house back in March of this year. I am trying for an ancient Egyptian theme. The bathrooms - there are 2 1/2 - are seashells (boys bathroom), Asian (half bath), and french (master bath).

10. What are your favorite colors and what colors do you dislike?
My favorite colors include green/blue blends, coral, purple, pink, red, black, camouflage. I am not a big fan of bright neon colors as they hurt my eyes.

11. Do you drink coffee? Tea? Other beverages?
Both coffee and tea. I drink some water (not enough though) but only with Crystal Light added. And I love sweet tea.

12. Do you have any kids (human or pet variety!)?
yes, two small boys (4 years and 19 months)

13. Do you have any allergies?
none that I am aware of but the hubby is allergic to cats

14. Please share 3 tidbits about yourself that you think your pal and other swappers might find odd or interesting.
* I spent 9 1/2 years in US Navy - with 5 years on an aircraft carrier (The USS Harry S Truman).
* I absolutely love hand made soap and my favorite scent is lavender.
* I still play video games. My favorites include the Tomb Raider games and Pokemon.
